About Me
I was born in Michigan and am the youngest of four; I have two brothers and a sister. We lived in a Detroit suburb until I was 8 years old and then my parents moved us all to England. I lived there for 8 years, my siblings less because they moved back for college. This was a wonderful experience that had a very significant impact on the way I look at life. Upon my return to the United States, I finished High School (where I met my future wife) and then went to college. After earning my BA in Economics from the University of Michigan I went onto graduate school at Michigan State University, where I earned my MA in Economics. When in graduate school I got married and just recently my wife and I celebrated our 25th anniversary. We have four sons ranging in age from 22 years old to 9 years old. We are very proud of them.
I am the Head Start and Early Head Start Director for Adrian Public Schools, located southeastern lower Michigan. Perhaps an odd career choice for someone with a MA in Economics, however, before I became the Director I was the financial officer for the program. I have worked for Adrian Public Schools for 17 years, 12 of which have been as the Director. The Managers, Teachers, Family Support Coordinators and support staff are dedicated to providing quality services to the children and families we serve.
